Bentley Air

  September is here and we are busy as ever. The smoke and fires have been thick lately making flying not as fun as usual but I have been logging some hours this summer and my 56 182 has been in the air more than it has been on the ground. It has become the kids plane as my son works on his private pilots license and the other kids on the field have been using it to fly here and there. Mark Burg scored 3rd in the Oregon wagon wheel STOL competition representing Bentley Air, he is a master at the art with his 180. I had the opportunity to do and annual on and fly a Beaver which brought a smile to my face as I chased oil leaks. Our project planes are about to become front and center as soon as we can get our latest customer out the door, he bought a plane that needed more work than he thought but I get a lot of satisfaction in a 180 that leaves our hanger in top condition. I was talking to a mechanic friend of mine and he was complaining about some of his customers and all I could think about was how lucky I was to only work on 180's and that 180 owners are the best. So lets keep the little wheel behind us and fly safe so the next generation can enjoy these great planes we fly today.
